Social Housing – A Great Way to Do Good & Make Great Money

We all know  that there is a severe shortage of housing in the UK and a rising number of homeless people. Local government departments are being hit by a double whammy of lower funding through austerity measures and lower benefits for individuals who are eligible. Council’s cannot manage this as they are being forced to sell off the empty buildings that they own at the same time as they’re accountable for providing accommodation for the growing number of people on their housing lists. Their solution is to use bed and breakfasts and other short stay facilities but this is neither an efficient nor an effective solution for the following reasons: 1) It’s illegal to house families in temporary accommodation for a prolonged period of time. 2) the facilities are frequently sub-standard as they do not meet the basic needs of the individuals and 3) it’s at an expensive solution adding great expense to the tax-payer.

Social housing is a diverse term. There are countless people in the UK who fall under the need of Social housing. Us as landlords can do good and make great profits. There are charities and councils that are in dire needs of landlords to work with them.

This means profits for us UK real estate investors.

Besides homeless people there are tens of thousands. Our niche is providing social housing. We help people and give people pride, parallel to this we have made a great business. We focus our time on sourcing properties, meeting and finding new investors and spend time with our families. We do not have to manage the properties…we do not have voids…we do not have maintenance in most cases….
