Can You Imagine Having UK Property Tenants Like These?

With working tenants, maybe they are working too hard? Working tenants are in a unique situation. They can reside in your UK property and due to Covid you can not evict. This means no rents…no mortgage payments to your bank and your property trashed. We have heard so many nightmare stories especially from Investors from Hong Kong who have purchased City centre flats in Manchester only to have to pay ground rents, maintenance insurance and no have money coming in from working tenants. They deal with inept leasing agents who do not screen tenants or even check on them. Bottom line these investors lose money and lose their minds dealing with these so called working tenants.

Contrarily we do social properties in which the Home office houses asylum seekers and other social tenants. Each property has a responsible housing officer. Truthfully some housing officers manage much better than others ( actually some of the women housing officers run the tightest ship I have ever seen).

What would you prefer a property who has constant inspections with a govt backed contract or working tenants who can trash your property and not pay you?
