Property Burnout?
Sometimes I catch myself working till 10.30 pm and starting my day at 6am? Why, this is property. At times have urgent issues with builders. Sometimes do to different time zones might be speaking to a potential buyer in Hong Kong. It is a never ending job in property but I love it. I love the hunt for properties. I love turning around dilapidated disgusting houses that I bring back tothe brink into quality housing in which I rent for 5 to 10 years for social housing with no voids, no management and almost no maintenance.
It is not easy. It is not easy trying to work with people who turn out to be dishonest or do not look at the big picture. It is not easy working with dishonest builders however I continue. I have a great team whom I appreciate. I have a great JV partner whom I have done in excess of 140 properties. He works like me. I have a great plumber, I have a great electrician, I have several great building teams. Thus this makes up for the other issues which come constantly.
The key in property is to always be positive, try to balance work and pleasure. Here it is 7am and been working for the last hour. Looking for properties, going over accounting…never ending work in the world of property investing.
