UK Potential Auction HMO Property Nightmare
We looked at a 8 bed student hmo that we could have turned into a social hmo. It would have been great, however with auctions, buyer be ware! It turns out this property had a HMO license however there were no building regs nor planning permission granted. Thus in our interpetation, a nightmare waiting to happen. Can you imagine purchasing a property and it has been properly approved at all from the council? Can you imagine the nightmare you would have with out a fire assesement on the property and there was a fire? These are issues that many investors have no idea about. We only sell properties that have building regs, planning permission ( if needed), fire assessments and HMO licenses ( if needed). There are too many cowboys out there in the UK property market. Knowledge is power and experience is earned over time. We have completed in excess of 100 properties. Each with its own list of challenges. Our goal is to provide safe, compliant properties for social housing and provide for our families.
