Sure…in two hours some guru is going to teach you on how to flip houses…or how about refurbish houses…oh…forgot the latest greatest of rent to rent or serviced accommodations. Property success takes sacrifice and hard work. It is very easy to think you want to buy a property…It is very easy to do a viewing and then have a coffee. Buying property takes courage and knowledge. Myself and my JV partners are looking at 2 12-14 flat conversion projects. This is in addition to Professional HMOs. This takes both a great deal of home work and courage. We are meeting with a London Hedge fund on Monday to back us…however we know there is no free lunch.
Successful property investing takes time. I don’t know many successful entrepreneurs who watched 20 hours of TV in a week AND simultaneously started a multi-million dollar business in property. With property we need to learn how to balance our time and energy.
In the world of property investing and entrepreneurship, you do not get paid for your time; you get paid for results instead. Myself and JV partners like the passive income we receive, however the paycheck is selling our properties. We are constantly juggling alot of balls. Property is also a balance between security and freedom. You have to put it all out there for freedom.
This is another big sacrifice that most property investors will have to let go of as they grow their property business. Security and freedom are two very different things. It is hard to get both of these at the same time. Myself and my JV partners made a conscious decision many years ago to let go of security to gain freedom.
