Converting Shops into Flats in the UK
With the onslaught of Covid on retail, we are estimating that there will be a glut of deserted non wanted retail shops available. We would look to convert these under permitted development into flats. Not just any flat but flats under the social housing schemes in which we work under. No voids.. no managment and no maintenance virtually on 5 and 10 year contracts.Just converting shops into flats you will still have to manage tenants and today if you have the wrong tenant, not just that they might not pay…you can not evict them. This is the beauty of social housing. We have done other conversion projects and countless HMOs. This is our plan for 2021.
