August is always a tough month for trying to finish refurbishment projects on both our Professional HMOs and Social HMOs. Builders go on holiday. Delays cost more than just time …they cost money….lost rents…added costs for funds. In this current Social HMO we are in the process of doing, the builders have gone on holiday. We outsourced the windows to a local company. They got the job done in 1 day….10 windows and doors. More so, while the builders are away we are going full throttle with the plumbers and electricians. When they get back hopefully just decorating will be left and exterior painting. We have 3 projects of Professional and Social HMOs going on.
