Running a UK Property Business in Lockdown

Running a property business is never easy or simple. Adding in the complexity of a lockdown due to covid, the challenges surmount. Firstly we are running 4 refurbishments at the moment. Materials needed to purchased and due to covid are limited. However we stockpiled materials to compensate. Viewings are iffy as agents prefer to do virtual viewings. Our building reg inspection are another challenge. However through technology ie whatapp videos we are still moving forward. We have been providing potential buyers of our social HMOs video walk throughs of properties prior to tenanting by the service providers. Just yesterday we sent out 4 videos to potential Hong Kong buyers. We have had much more demand as we have 5 and 10 year contracts and are basically being paid by the home office to house social tenants. We are lucky we do not have working tenants who have just recieved another period of time of eviction relief.

We feel beyond fortunate that we are coping and providing more and more social properties.
