I want to share a short story regarding a property we looked to buy. In order to be prudent we had a structural survey as there were visible cracks in various place. Some times they can be long standing however according to our structural survey report, this was not. This house was simply a structural nightmare. It was a fantastic purchase in Swinton, Manchester for 73,000 however not only the cost to remedy ( plus surprises) there was the potential issue on our resale after we made it a HMO. Basically we dropped the deal. Shockingly, I saw it on Rightmove the next day reduced further with a description, LIGHT COSMETIC REFURBISHMENT!!!! Later in the day it was marked under offer.

Shock a rue…Whoever bought this just might have bought Pandora’s box unknowingly. My point is always get surveys….always have your solicitor check the title thoroughly…otherwise you might be the proud owner of Pandora’s Residence.
